After completing an MA in Japanese language and culture Pouyan embarked on a journey of exploration through the lenses of China and Japan’s healing arts. He has worked for more than 12 years in massage therapy combining Eastern and Western massage techniques in a very effective way. He earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture from the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM), the UK's oldest acupuncture college. His subsequent apprenticeships and post-graduate studies included a wide range of Acupuncture (both Chinese and Japanese) techniques and styles, with a focus on women's health.

He earned an advanced diploma in fertility, during which he learned how to approach complex reproductive situations from both a Western and an Eastern medicine perspective. Reading medical test findings, identifying the root causes of infertility, and understanding difficult gynaecological problems like PCOS and endometriosis and determining possible fundamental causes are all part of his training.

Pouyan establishes and maintains a therapeutic alliance with his patients by creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. His hands-on approach is aided by his training in bodywork (Thai yoga massage, Tuina, and deep tissue treatment). He also loves to combine the findings on your body with the symptoms you're experiencing into a bespoke therapy plan, with each session tailored to the patient's specific needs.

Pouyan is a fully qualified massage and acupuncture practitioner and a member of the British Acupuncture Federation.
