Top scholar graduate from the Auckland University of Technology in 2002 with a Diploma in Sport and Recration, Amanda was awarded with a Sports North Harbour Scholarship.
She then went on to complete her physiotherapy degree in 2006 before undertaking both a Master of Health Practice in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (with Merit) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Science Western Acupuncture in 2010. Amanda's experience as a sports physiotherapist began in Auckland (New Zealand).
After 4 years she relocated to London (UK) in 2011 where she furthered her knowledge and experience within a renowned corporate occupational health clinic.
In her youth, Amanda was a competitive horse rider and continues to ride in her spare time. Amanda has a specialist interest in managing and preventing injuries for horse riders. She works as an advanced-level Clinical Pilates instructor teaching Pilates to prevent horse riding injuries and imbalances.
Amanda is currently completing studies in the Integrated Systems Model Method by Diane Lee in Canada and believes as a clinician it is important to always continue to learn and discover the most up-to-date treatment methods and ways to help her patients achieve an overall happy and healthy active life.
Amanda uses a combination of best practice assessment and treatment tools as well as the Integrated Systems Model - this Model helps assess and treat you as a whole by looking at areas of your body that may not have been assessed or treated before. This allows Amanda to focus her treatment quickly on reducing pain and improving function to help you achieve your goals, do see the following link for more information about this approach.
