Hello from me, Gerard Garrote. Therapies offered:
Osteopathy, Cranial Osteopathy,Visceral Osteopathy, Sports massage, Remedial massage
In 2010 I graduated as an osteopath and since then my experience and training has evolved and progressed. I have had the opportunity to work in different clinics in Barcelona, next to trained professionals where I have learned the essential skills of clinical practice to apply in my profession. I have gained a vast amount of experience over the fields of structural, cranial and visceral osteopathy as well as similarly having the ability to work giving deep massage therapy, sports massage and global stretching techniques.
My main area of work takes place in my private practice‘Centre d’Osteopatia I Homeopatia’ based in Figueres, Spain where I have been working since 2013. Here I attend to a wide variety of patients offering personalised work involving assessment, diagnosis and treatment. The essence of my work is to perform my role as a manual therapist by attending to all patients in a personalised and holistic way whilst adapting my skills to every patient.
Furthermore, since 2016 I have also been working part-time in ‘Tu Esencia’ clinic in Barcelona providingpersonal assessments and treatment to all patients.
My work within private practice reflects a multidisciplinary environment with patients requiring a range of diverse treatments and advice. Via this experience I developed my work as a visceral, cranial and structural osteopath, and similarly offering sessions as a deep tissue and sports massage therapist.
Aside from this, I am a competitive long-distance runner. I began coaching in Figueres, Spain in 2016 where I created and coached the CAF Runners. This adult group was initially created to introduce running from kilometre 0 to those who have not previously taken part in athletics. In the three years since its creation the club has greatly grown and now has over 80 members with success in many road and trail races. As the sole coach I create weekly plans for the five training sessions that focus on both speed and endurance as well as injury prevention.
This ability to bring people together compliments my professional practice as I gain greater experience of the body, the effect of sport and techniques to prevent and treat sports injuries.
I will be working at Waterloo body station on Monday’s between 3pm and 8:30pm. To make a booking please ring the clinic on 02072029000.
